Passages Fine Art Gallery - Norma Jackson

Through the Whales Eye

You are invited to take a journey with Norma exploring the different facets and phases that creativity can take over one's lifetime. She has striven to listen to that inner voice that is forever pushing boundaries and transforming her creativity into new ideas and directions. Norma's creativity has spanned everything from professional marionette theatre and therapeutic arts, drama and puppetry to fine art.

"Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference". — Robert Frost

Norma is an award winning Canadian artist living in the Cowichan Valley, British Columbia. She works in watercolour, acrylics, Mixed-media and sculpture. She is known for her portraits and is a successful commissioned artist. Her passion is the human condition, whether it is to portray strength or frailty or to imbue and excite the viewer. Some viewers say it is in the eyes that Norma brings her subjects to life. Others feel they are drawn into the depth and shadows of her West Coast images and new signature "Emerge Art" pieces that combine sculpture with painting.

Please visit the gallery often to view the latest developments and works. You will find original fine art, marionette theatre, therapeutic arts, drama & puppetry, current workshops, monthly newsletters as well as a store through which you may purchase original art, giclee prints and just possibly, a marionette or two...

ENJOY!
