Soul Speaks

Magical things happen in life.   While   displaying my art at a winery, I met a First Nation’s man who told me my work “speaks”. He shared with me personal glimpses of his life.  I was then compelled to  intuitively sculpt a face with its mouth open.   When he saw the piece, he told me I had sculpted the Sun Mask and the open mouth meant the sharing of one’s soul to another.   Water in most cultures represents life.  I saw him rising above  turbulent water  to freedom and a new     beginnings in the light.
